TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT FEVER A WELLINGTON TABLE TENNIS CLUB A busy Saturday at Wellington Presbyterian Church as Wellington TTC played host to two tournaments. First the Frank Spalding Memorial Masters table tennis tournament commenced at 9am on Saturday morning with the finals played 1pm. Then the Ballymena Junior Table Tennis Challenger event followed hot on its heels at 2pm with the finals played at 6pm. David Lloyd Senior Open 2018

The David Lloyd Table Tennis Open sponsored by McDonalds Dundonald and Drew Wylie Building Services was held last Saturday at David Lloyd Club Belfast. Artur Bialek who is originally from Poland defeated Irish # 1 Gavin Maguire 3/1 to win the Men’s Singles title. Zak Earley (Ormeau) and Dillon Byrne (UCD) reached the Semi Finals. Daryl Strong defended his Masters title by defeating fellow Ormeau Club mate Phil Wallace 3/1 and Irish Cadet James Skelton  (Ormeau) defeated former International Peter Graham 3/2 to lift the Restricted Singles (Irish top 20 ranked players ineligible). Table tennis players from all over Ulster converged on Wellington Church on Saturday 1st September to participate in the 2018 North Antrim Table Tennis Open. The qualifying competition commenced at 10.00am sharp with six groups each containing four or five players. To qualify for the Open Singles the players had to be placed in the top two in their respective Group. Those finishing third, fourth or fifth were entered in to the Class 2 event.
