Table Tennis Ireland hosted a National Umpire Course and Tournament Referee Course in Dublin on 20 and 21 August at the Irish Sports HQ in Dublin. Karen and Ken Tonge from Table Tennis England delivered the courses. They both have a great deal of experience umpiring and refereeing at the Top Level.
The courses were good preparation for anyone intending to sit the Referees course later in the year and enabled existing umpires to refresh their skills ahead of the coming season. The refresher umpiring course was attended by Ulster’s International Umpires Adrian Brown, Jay Warden and Arnold Morgan.
