Thursday 15th of February saw the first Activator Course of the year be held in the Osmond TTC, Ballymoney. In total, 11 new coaches took part in what was a very enjoyable afternoon led by Table Tennis Ulster Regional Development Officer, Frank Shirley.
The Activator Award provides an introduction into table tennis as well as giving ideas for coaching activities that are able to engage all players. The mainly practical course, focuses on enabling both qualified and new coaches to be confident in teaching a range of skills within table tennis.
The course aims to allow coaches to have creativity and confidence to deliver table tennis sessions to players of ll abilities.
