The Sport NI Senior Series made its way to Ballymoney on Saturday for the Paul McGuiggan North Antrim Open, a popular and well-supported event on the Table Tennis Ulster calendar.
The tournament was full, attracting players from right across the province and delivering a full day of competitive, high-quality table tennis in fitting memory of Paul McGuiggan.

Open Singles
In the Open event, top seed Phil Wallace (Ormeau) was edged out in a tight five-set semi-final by Tomaz Toman (Craigavon). However, it was Christopher Allsop who stole the spotlight, producing a superb run of form to clinch the Open title.
Open Consolation
Great to see junior performance players making their mark, with Daniel McFaul (Lisburn) overcoming Luke Ferris (Glenburn) in an all-action final.
Over 40s
Top seed Phil Wallace (Ormeau) showed his experience to defeat Tomaz Toman 3-0 (Craigavon) and lift the Over 40s title.
Over 40s Consolation:
An exciting final saw Vladimir Brzak (Ballymena) come out on top against the evergreen Barry Dickson (Brooklands).
Over 60s
The Over 60s event was fiercely contested. In the quarter-finals, Gus Agnew (Kingsland) defeated last year’s winner Des Flannigan (Omagh). In the final, however, Ollie McQuillan (Ballymena) proved too strong, lifting his first Over 60s title.
Over 60s Consolation:
Another strong performance from Barry Dickson (Brooklands), who overcame Breandán O’Fiaich (Ormeau) to take the honours.
