Ulster Players and Officials Recognised at Table Tennis Ireland Annual Presentation of Awards

On the 10 June 2023, the Table Tennis Ireland AGM and Presentation of Awards took place at Irish Sport HQ, Sport Ireland National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown. Following lunch and a chance to meet up with provincial members, Ken Strong announced the recipients of the 2022/23 National Awards which were presented and congratulated by Tony Martin, President.

The Ulster recipients were as follows:

Junior Players of the Year: Peadar Sheridan and Anjali Singh

Junior Coach of the Year: Conor Nugent

Club of the Year: Ormeau Table Tennis Club

School of the Year: Grosvenor Grammar School

International Performance: Oster Cup Germany:

U19 Girls Singles Gold Medal Anjali Singh,

U19 Boys Singles Gold Medal Tom Colvin,

Irish U19 Girls Team Gold Medal –  Anjali Singh, Grace Looney and Niamh Mason

Irish U19 Boys Team Silver Medal Tom Colvin, James Skelton, Ben Watson and Adam Faulkner.

Awards were also presented to the End of Season No 1 Ranked Junior Players. The Ulster players receiving awards were:

Irish No 1 – Under 19 Boys 2023: Jonathan Mooney

Irish No 1 – Under 13 Boys 2023: Peadar Sheridan

Irish No 1 – Under 19 Girls 2023: Anjali Singh

Irish No 1 – Under 15 Girls 2023: Lily Parke

Congratulations to Pat Hunter who is the incoming President of Table Tennis Ireland and Arnold Morgan who has been appointed Chair of Table Tennis Ireland.
