On Friday 10th November 2023, PWC and Mary Peter’s trust provided an amazing opportunity for 30 Ulster athletes aged between 16 and 25 years. Table Tennis Ulster was represented by Anjali Singh, Emily Flynn, Adam Faulkner and Ben Watson. The selected athletes spent an immersive day at the iconic Merchant Square Belfast office and participated in a programme helping them to consider future options for their career path with or without their sport.
The specially designed PwC programme provided participants with the opportunity to engage with some of the top players in the areas of communications, personal branding, financial literacy and wellbeing. – They were joined by Pete Snodden from Cool FM, ex-BBC newsreader Sarah Travers and special guest, Niall Breslin (Bressie) for a keynote session on how to manage your wellbeing as you travel through the next chapter of your life. Of course, there was also an introduction with Lady Mary herself with participants receiving a signed copy of her autobiography. This unique day was made possible by the Social Value Fund from PwC and was deemed to be time well spent by the Ulster table tennis players.
