The flagship Ulster Open, delivered in partnership with Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, proved a massive success with almost 500 entries across the weekend. Lisburn Racquets Club was buzzing with players from right across Ulster, Ireland, and further afield competing in a full range of senior, masters, para, parkinson and junior events.

Men’s Singles
A superb final saw Paul McCreery (Ormeau) claim the title with a dominant straight-sets win over Tom Colvin (Craigavon).
Paul’s route to the title:
- Def. Conor Nugent (Ormeau) – Semi-final
- Def. Aedan McGivern (Craigavon) – Quarter/Semi route based on draw

Women’s Singles

Councillor Jamie Harpur, LCCC Regeneration and Growth Vice-Chair, presented two awards to Oksana Pavlova (Women’s Singles and Veteran’s Singles).
Oksana Pavlova produced a flawless display to lift the Women’s Singles title, defeating Jiahui Yuan (QUB) in straight sets in the final.

Men’s Doubles
A strong pairing and a strong finish — Paul McCreery (Ormeau) & Tom Colvin (Craigavon) took the title over Peadar Sheridan (Ormeau) & Conor Nugent (Ormeau).
Women’s Doubles

The pairing of Anjali Singh (Ormeau) & Rebecca Scott (Ormeau) took the Women’s Doubles title with an impressive win over Grace Looney (Ormeau) & Niamh Mason (Ormeau).
Men’s Masters

A familiar rivalry played out on the big stage as Daryl Strong (Ormeau) took the Masters crown, defeating club-mate Phil Wallace (Ormeau) in the final.

Women’s Masters

Councillor Jamie Harpur, LCCC Regeneration and Growth Vice-Chair, presented two awards to Oksana Pavlova (Women’s Singles and Veteran’s Singles).
Another title for Oksana Pavlova, who secured the Women’s Masters championship over Chui Lin Kwok (Glenburn).

U21 Men

A brilliant win for Aedan McGivern (Craigavon), who overcame Peadar Sheridan (Ormeau) in the final.

A strong all-Ormeau final saw Anjali Singh crowned champion ahead of Grace Looney.

A great run for VJ Malayo (St Anne’s) who won the Restricted Singles over Matthew McCann (Ormeau).
