Congratulations to all the participants whose smiling faces suggests that a good time was had by all. And well done to all the medallists named above who excelled on the day .
There are a lot of people to thank for the success of the event. Thanks to Kingfisher Financial for their continued sponsorship of Ulster Primary Schools’ Table Tennis. Thanks to the team that set up the Hall on Monday morning, for without them no tournament would have been possible.- thanks Arnold, Alex, Gary and Simon.
Also thanks to my top table of James Sterling, Michael Allen and Simon Gough who recorded all results and to the monitors who ensured all matches were played without undue delay – well done Sandra, Alex, Francis, Arnold, Gary and Robin. And thanks to the person who bought the top table coffee – much appreciated.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the take down of tables etc ensuring the organisers could sit down for a well-deserved coffee before embarking on their long journeys home.
It was great to have both the Chair and President of TTI Arnold Morgan and Alan Strong at the event, highlighting the importance that the governing body holds for this event – for these players are the future of the sport in Ireland. And thanks to TTU for the purchase of 6 new tables that ensured the event was completed by 3pm as scheduled.
Finally a huge thanks to all the teachers and parents who took time out of their busy schedules to bring the players to this wonderful venue that is to be the home of Ulster Schools’ Table Tennis for the foreseeable future.
See you next year
